Melody Schaper, MFA, RSMT, is a somatic therapist, movement educator, and Gestalt practitioner whose work explores the body’s role in awareness, contact, and transformation. Drawing from a lifetime of study in movement, dance, embodiment, and Gestalt therapy, she helps people recognize the subtle language of the body and its influence on how we experience ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Her work is informed by the Alexander Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Ideokinesis, and Gestalt Therapy. Bringing together artistic sensibility and therapeutic practice, Melody invites students and clients to deepen their awareness of sensation, movement, posture, and relational patterns as pathways to greater presence, authenticity, and connection.
