Dreamwork Using Gestalt Therapy
October 26, 2024 @ 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

With Dori Middleman and Mark Putnam
This event has been cancelled due to low registration.
At night when you go to sleep, your mind and body are active, working through important events and struggles in your life by creating stories and challenges in the world of imagery.
Do you want to know what your dreams mean?
Gestalt therapy is famous for its unique way of deciphering the meaning of dreams by helping you re-enact dreams in the here and now. Through this dramatic method, you can embody and come to understand all the characters in the dream, including yourself. Gestalt therapists believe that the person who can discover the meaning of a dream is the dreamer yourself. The therapeutic process we use will support you in finding your dream’s take-home message.
For those of you who have been to other events with our Center, this workshop will primarily involve “hotseat work” where participants who choose to bring a dream to this workshop will have the opportunity to work on their dreams guided by two master Gestalt therapists. Some participants will come as participant-observers and may be asked to play various roles and images for the dream participants.
